  • Introduction
  • Risk assessment
  • Site preparation: legal and environmental
  • Identify, inspect and prepare climbing and rigging equipment
  • Use of working ropes, knots, hitches and eye slings to lower and guide severed timber to the ground in conjunction with ground crew.
  • Knowledge of specialist rigging equipment and safe working loads
  • Carry out sectional felling
Pre-requisites CS30, 31, 38, 39
Duration 3 days plus CS41 assessment
Equipment needed PPE to include chainsaw trousers, boots, gloves; helmet with ear defenders, personal first aid kit.Chainsaw. Climbing harness.

All of the above can be supplied at no extra cost.
